It is impossible to relate in a few words, sentences or even paragraphs what the J.H. McCleskey No. 1 has meant to Ranger; Eastland County; the state of Texas; and the United States. For this Narrative, in application for an historical marker to commemorate its importance, I have tried to say the most in as little space as possible.
